Yummy

The shortcake was delicious!

There were two fabulous R’s, three socks, and one moon boot.

We had a wonderful afternoon, cooking and laughing and nibbling and chatting.

I did manage to mess up something on my little clapotis — a stitch is off a couple of rows down (must have been all that giggling and chocolate). I’ll fix it tomorrow. In the meantime I’m dreaming about starting another pair of socks. Or a scarf. Or something.

  2. That shortcake looks so yummy, I am assuming a strawberry shortcake is like a sponge cake topped with strawberries and cream??? Sorry I am showing my Aussie ignorance here 😉

  3. I thought you all would like to experience the bliss! Sharon, a shortcake is really a big, rich, sweet biscuit. It’s split and filled with lots of whipped cream, and strawberries that have been cut up and soaked in sugar. Do your teeth hurt yet? I go easy on the sugar, though.
