Oh, of course I could be cleaning my apartment because my sister is coming for a visit next weekend. I could be sorting through the piles of old magazines and catalogs so that I can take most of them to the dump. I could even be balancing my checkbook.
But it’s Sunday, and the week was a doozy, and I kept my hands off the skein of Lagoon for as long as I could. I found this nice drapey little scarf in a new book (well it’s new because I just got one) called Knit Ponchos, Wraps and Scarves by Jane Davis. I first read about it when Norma wrote about it a few weeks ago. I’m just spending a little quality time with the cashmere and silk, that’s all.
Excuse me, I have to go now. I just had an idea about that scarf. I think it wants to be a little wider, and a little looser. Oh boy, I get to knit it again!
Sweet Jane,Well, OK then, maybe you did put yourself in this position voluntarily via the retail side of your job. However, it still does not make it any easier when folks act surly or rude or impatient or “D’oh.”The yarn looks yummy.XOXO

The scarf looks great! I like “wavy” patterns. Who is it for?

The scarf looks great – I completely understand the “why clean house when I could be knitting” need on some days. 🙂

Just remember – it’s ThePublic – the GreatUnwashed. That’s what I tell myself whenever someone goes wierd on me – like the lady who stood at the circ desk for an hour, weeping because I wouldn’t bond with her. (?!?)And remember – you have Yarn!

That yarn looks lovely. I want to squeeze it. Thanks for the reply at KR. I’m new to all of this computer stuff, but learning. We have summer people in MI, too. Some are ok, but the rude, mean ones bug us all! Squeezing that pretty yarn should make you feel better!
